Janky Patel is an award winning children's book author. Her first published work, Curious Conditions: Emergency Room won second place in the coveted Bookemon Book of the Year award in 2010. Janky's book competed against thousands of books around the nation for this honor.
Janky's passion in healthcare and children led her to write a book about helping children become more familiar with the hospital setting. She has also held many class room reading events throughout the nation with her story.
She is currently working on her second story in the Curious Conditions series aimed at helping children learn about healthcare through a fun, magical, and illustrative story. The second story entitled: Curious Conditions: Dentist, explores the dental office while the main character curiously asks many many questions. This blog was created to help Janky document her journey of writing and to help other readers learn the process of publishing children's books.
